The first floor of the Dan Rather Communication Building houses the Robert Eubanks Studio (named for former Department Chair Robert E. Eubanks), which serves as the main control and production facility for KSHU TV--Cox Cable Channel 7. Programs on KSHU TV include educational and informational programs from the Annenburg/CPB Channel, along with local news and sports, talk shows, game shows and more. KSHU TV also airs community programming, in a partnership with the city of Huntsville, such as Huntsville City Council, Huntsville ISD School Board and Walker County Commissioner’s Court meetings. KSHU TV provides up to 40 hours of original programming a week.

Additional facilities include a recently remodeled control room for KSHU, a news room, three audio production studios with DAT machines, two linear video-editing suites, thirteen nonlinear video-editing suites (with Premiere and Final Cut editing programs), 15 mini-DV format ENG units for video production and a field-production van equipped with a multi-camera setup and remote switching capabilities.
